RetailGraph as C&F Software / Distribution Software

Hello,

I am sure by now you have gone through some of our blogs and are not alien to "RetailGraph"

Through today post we wish to share more about how RetailGraph is effective in managing companies channel Network, and how it acts as an C&F Software, Distribution Software to an organization.

Whether Organisation is small , medium or large basics to run businesses has always remain the same. You must know what is going around and have fast access to information to take decisions, and effective communication.

We will be discussing about real scenario of a pharmaceutical company with its Head Office and Operations spread across INDIA, their challenges and how RetailGraph has helped them to evolve by streamlining the operation and making the life easier for a lot of people associated with the processes.

Industry : Pharmaceutical

Distribution / C&F / Channel Network : Around 20

Need: C&F Software, Distribution Software, Warehouse software, wholesales software

The Story

The Organisation was running on a Fox Pro based software and were using technology for quiet long, But with changing technologies and advancements they feel that they were stuck and were not able to decide on which software to finalize because they wish to have access the old data as well.

Some of the challenges ahead of them were:

  • Availability of Resources who can manage the old technology
  • Cost to manage the old system
  • Time Consuming Tasks and
  • Old technology Vs New Technology GAP
  • How to have smooth Transition
  • Reporting & Analytics

RetailGraph being the developed on Microsoft .net framework with SQL server as back-end, is running successfully and has a client base of 1000+ clients.

  • We suggested them to go with RetailGraph Online Implementation mode, as all C&Fs have uninterrupted access to internet.
  • The Solution we proposed is with single Master Data which will be on Server at the HO of the company and all the location with a real time access to the information.
  • Sale, Sale return and any other transactions will reflect on a real time basis to the companies Head Office.
  • We customized the reporting as per need, as employees were habitual to see it in a certain format in which it used to be earlier.

  • We gave them the access to define targets of the Zonal Managers, Regional Manager, Area Managers and Medical Representatives.

  • We set the hierarchy and authentication level at each level, like a zonal manager can see the reports and data only of his Zone, his Area Managers and his MRs and not others.

  • This way it helps the organisation to have an apple to apple comparison with transparency and authenticity.Commissions, targets and evaluations were visible.
  • Changes were smoothly made with in the system, and a single change will be reflected across the network with out any hassles.
  • Real time accurate reports and analytic is visible and maanging correct inventory levels is not an issue.
  • Taxation across the country were managed smoothly, as its an inbuilt feature in the software.
  • The shift from the earlier system to the new system was smooth and we managed to have their old data in the new system for comparison and references.
And much more, RetailGraph helped and brought back the organization to normal in less time. The employees involved in processes are relaxed and have more time for other activities.

It would not be wrong to say that RetailGraph has not only streamline the operations but even improved the personal life by providing them more time.

RetailGraph is being used as C&F Software, Distribution software, Wholesale Software and Warehouse Software in many corporate organisation and serving the purpose.

RetailGraph Software for Mobile Store / Electronics Store

Technology has played a major role in our day to day life, whether its a simple Fan on the ceiling of your roof or complex circuits based Television for your entertainment. It would not be wrong to say that mankind has come a long way and electronics & Gadgets have played a major role in this evolution.

Today Blog will tell you how RetailGraph works as an Electronics Store Software OR Mobile Store Software and how it manages Inventory, Promotions, vendors, customers and manage over all store accounts.

Before we start i hope you have gone through http://retailgraph.blogspot.com/2013/07/retailgaph-software-for-shoe-stores.html which has software video's showcasing functionality of RetailGraph Software.

Let us understand the Product Master through this Video which shares on how to create a product in RetailGraph, and add different attributes related to it.

Through PRODUCT MASTER we can create our Products in RetailGraph and then we can Purchase the Products or add products through "opening stock" in Lot details Tab as shown below:

Other Important aspect of a Electronics or Mobile store is the Promotion. RetailGraph has different options to handle promotions like

Promotion On: Product

Product can be selected and promotion can run on a Free Product or Free Quantity.

For Example promotion on Free Product (on purchase of 1qty ONIDA AIRCONDITION 3-SPLIT 1.5 3STAR (or qualifying Qty), 1  of PHILIPS JUICER is free OR as specified in promotion)

For Example on Free Quantity (on Purchase of 5 ONIDA AIRCONDITION 3-SPLIT 1.5 3STAR (or qualifying Qty), 1 ONIDA AIRCONDITION 3-SPLIT 1.5 3STAR is free OR as specified in promotion). Generally this is not the case in Electronics Market but we have shared as a way of promotion which can be managed through the RetailGraph software.

Promotion on Marketing Group:

Marketing Group can be selected and promotion can run on a Free Product or Free Point

For Example promotion on Free Product (on purchase of 10000 rupees of (or qualifying Amt) product of specific marketing company , 1 piece of Micro-Max Mobile is free OR as specified in promotion)
    • For Example on Free Point (on purchase of a minimum amount (or qualifying Amt) points are given as reward (as specified in promotion) which can be later redeemed.)

Invoice Value can be selected and promotion can run on a free Product or free Point or billing head
  1. On invoice value of INR 10000 (or qualifying Amount) irrespective of Product or Marketing Company , a product of specific value and quantity will be given as a free gift (as specified in promotion).
  2. On invoice value of INR 10000 (or qualifying Amount) irrespective of Product or Marketing Company, free points (as specified in promotion) will be added to the customer's kitty.
  3. On invoice value of INR 10000 (or qualifying Amount) irrespective of Product or Marketing Company, a billing head with desired name can be created and introduced at the time of billing.
Customers can get the advantage of the promotion at the time of billing.

Mobile / Electronic Stores can also have their own loyalty card coupons and can issue them to the customer, so when the next time customer visits, just by clicking his name the promotion points will be reflected and can be redeemed on the purchase.

Just as an example the below screen shot of the software shows how promotion  applies on the billing invoice. You can manually select the promotion or can set it on Auto Promotion mode, by which it automatically applies on the qualifying amount. The discounted value shown in Add/Less.

Another Important task of a Mobile/Electronic Store Software is CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

Through the Mobile Store Software you can send SMS and Emails to your Customers. It helps you to send various reports and analytic to management, not only that but you can also schedule the reports on a set frequency and the reports will be auto shared to the recipient on the respective day.

As shown below you can send Anniversary wishes ; Birthday wishes ; Message ; Reports ; and Transaction

As shown below different reports like Sales & Stock ; Product wise sales ; Product wise purchase ; Sales Transaction ; and Purchase Transaction can be shared.

Different file formats like Excel ; HTML ; PDF ; RTF ; and TXT can be attached in Email.

Stock / Inventory management is another area which makes or breaks the Stores Brand image. You need to maintain an optimum inventory in stores and , which can be set by viewing the sales history and buying trends of different products. We have explained how to add min and max stock of products in the video below:

This way you will always be sure that the stores have optimum inventory levels and as soon as the inventory goes below the set level a message or notification will alert you on the same.

Stores also need to handle the Taxes and different products and services have different taxes. The tax details can be defined in detail manner in the software as shown in the below video.

Apart from the above mentioned details there is a lot more feature and tasks that is being handled by the RetailGraph Software. Before we close we wish to share a brief list of features of the Electronic Store Software / Mobile Store Software:
  • Fast Billing Process using Bar Codes
  • Available in both online & offline modes
  • Automate inventory and purchase Management
  • Sales Promotions handling
  • Payment options for Cash, Credit Card, Cheque
  • VAT & Central Sales Tax Handling
  • User Defined Day Books & Graphical Reports
  • Complete MIS View & Reporting ( * top management)

  • Export reports to Excel/Text/PDF Formats
Hope you have liked the content blog. Share it further so that maximum will get benefited through the software.

RetailGaph Software for Shoe Stores

RetailGraph for Shoe Stores

Hello. Today we have an interesting story of a man and his struggle to smooth line his business and work towards expansion.

RAMNATH SHOE STORE

You just say Ramnath JI'S SHOP and people will guide you till the shop.

Ramnath ji Shoe Store was a brand that was developed by generation through their dedication and hard work.Ramnath ji was more than half a century old Shoe Store, started by Late shri Ramnath. and was managed by his son Kamalnath since last 25 years, and now its kamalnaths son Gopal's turn to carry forward the tradition or do some thing else.

Being from a business family Gopal poses excellent business acumen since the childhood but to explore the world and learn new things kamalnath has send him to do his masters in business administration and understand business in today's generation.

Kamalnath is going through a tough time in business, due to the increase in inflation, growing competition and ever shrinking margins which are now rock bottom. He  is looking for options to expand in other cities to grow his business and grow the business.

Major Challenges faced by the businesses were:
  • Pilferage of goods causing direct loss
  • Unable to plan customer engagement.
  • Managing Suppliers were a tedious task.
  • Most of the suppliers have automated and discourage him due to difficult in communication
  • Malls and Big Brands have reduced footfalls
  • Manual processes
  • Sale,Billing, accounting, finances, profit loss and over all analysis and much more.
Kamalnath know all this but was unable to control and he shared the concern with Gopal and asked him to take control and grow his family business to new heights rather than taking a job. Gopal being accepted the offer and took this as project to revamp the "Ramnath ji Shoe Store"

Gopal worked in the business for a couple of months with his father and looked closely to understand the past bills, transactions, daily operations and other relevant documents. Gopal came to a conclusion and thought of discussing it with his father.

Gopal told his father that we must go for automation and inclusion of software in our business processes to improve and expand, as managing the accounts and other related documents and current vendors in itself is a so tedious and monotonous job, we can't focus on planning strategies for our business, which is required as we are planning to expand. We must go ahead with centralized software which has all the related features.

Kamalnath : Ok i liked your analysis and approach. Yes we can go ahead, let us search for a solution.
Gopal: Yes give me some time i will search for a shoe store software and we will understand how it can help us.
